Earlier this year, MSC Software released its new CoSim engine developed to provide a co-simulation interface for the direct coupling of different solvers/disciplines within a multiphysics framework. The CoSim newest version enables engineers to set up co-simulation models between MSC’s Adams multibody dynamics (MBD), Marc (FEA), and scFLOW (CFD) applications, and covers a wide range of industrial-scale applications. The CoSim engine offers improved accuracy, precision and performance for complex multiphysics applications.
The electrical and electronics industry comprises a variety of products, ranging from aerospace products, lamps and light fixtures including light-emitting diodes, consumer electronics such as television sets, electrical household appliances, electronic medical equipment, microelectronic components and automation systems to automotive telematics such as on-board diagnostics (OBD), in-car touch screens, park cameras and navigation systems.
Dassault Systèmes has just come out with a couple of new bundles that help CATIA V5 customers to obtain a higher added value on the same price tag.
The first bundle is named CATMEE – Mechanical Engineering Excellence and this would be the mechanical design-oriented version of the new package. In classic CATIA V5 configurations terms, previously for this purpose we would have recommended an MD2 trigram or a CAT+MCE bundle based on PLM Express packaging option for CAD designers. This CATMEE option is typically suited for the mechanical solid modeling in CATIA and does not do very much surfacing. CATMEE is an extended CAT+MCE license containing also the functionality to access 3DEXPERIENCE platform directly from CATIA V5 and FPE – Fabricated Product, JTE – Jig and Tool Creation, PRX – Animated Product Review, FTX – 3D Master, and TRE – Technical Specifications Review.

As a global technology leader in computer-aided engineering (CAE) simulation software and services, our traditional business partner MSC Software Corporation, announced the debut release of the MSC CoSim engine that has been developed in order to provide a co-simulation interface for the direct coupling of different solvers/disciplines within a multiphysics framework enabling engineers to set up co-simulation models between Adams (MBD), Marc (FEA) and scFLOW (CFD) and it covers a wide range of industrial scale applications including washing machine drum vibration to fuel tank sloshing for FSI and MBD; moving diaphragm valves to non-standard fans and pumps; dynamic windshield wiper blades to hydraulic actuators; and non-linear rubber door seals to vehicle bushes. At most companies, CAE is performed as an isolated activity within a single functional team or engineering discipline. The performance, safety, and reliability of their products, however, is greatly influenced by the interactions between these disciplines. Co-simulation helps to avoid inaccurate assumptions, and therefore leads to a better correlation between CAE simulation and physical testing, so engineers gain a richer insight into the performance of the actual product without over-design. Co-simulation can provide a higher level of simulation accuracy with realistic engineering analysis demands inside real world engineering design timescales.
This year’s annual four-day conference, organized by Dassault Systèmes, entitled “VS Sales Leaders Convention”, took place in Monaco, in between January 21st-January 24th. This business-social event brought together representatives, engineers, consultants, and experts in Dassault Systèmes program solutions across Europe to celebrate their successes in 2018 and develop a strategy for the upcoming next year. Dassault Systèmes company recognizes the professional expertise required to successfully market, sell, deploy, and support our solutions to customers all over the world. They have built the Partner Rewards program to recognize Business Partners investments and achievements against different axes:
- Their sales efficiency and performance
- Their capacity to develop and certify their skills
- Their strategic alignment with Dassault Systèmes
Platinum is the highest tier in the program, reserved for Business Partners highly engaged in Dassault Systèmes’ business. (more…)
DEMO METAL 2018
26-29 NOVEMBER 2018, BRASOV
EVENT DEDICATED TO INNOVATION IN METALWORKING
DEMO METAL is the most important event in Romania that addresses specialists in metal working industry. It is the place where the leading suppliers of machine tools, tooling, equipment, accessories and software solutions for the metalworking industry presents its latest innovations and newest technologies.
The unique and innovative concept of Demo Metal is based on practical demonstrations on equipment exposed. Manufacturing processes and equipment that will make the demonstrations will become an option for specialist visitors and can be a viable investment option for companies from the Romanian industry.
